News Publishing: Pequot Plantation was first published in April, 2005 Honors: In May 2006, Pequot Plantation was recognized with an Independent Publisher, “IPPY” Award in the category of Best Non-Fiction Book, Northeast Region which includes New England and New York. This award was based on the book’s regional significance and quality. Reviews: From Connecticut History published by The Association for the Study of Connecticut History (ASCH) “The book is thoroughly researched as to facts about settlers and the major events of the time, such as King Philip’s War, and it is highly readable.”

Events Sept. 15-19, 2010: Ninth Maritime Heritage Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. I will be giving a presentation on Connecticut's reaction to the British blockade of Long Island Sound during the War of 1812. The presentation is scheduled for the Sept. 16, morning session between 10:15 and 11:45. Jan. 18, 2011: Presentation to the Faulkner Island Light Brigade at the Guilford Library at 7 pm. Subject will be the significance of Long Island Sound maritime history and Revolutionary War events affecting Guilford, Ct.
